Having whet hoops’ fans appetites with a series of spots promoting its NBA coverage, which feature a variety of on-the-road pros, ex-pros, coaches and commentators, ESPN and agency Wieden + Kennedy have launched the next phase online.

With “Your NBA Destination,” fans are greeted with a mural of NBA star caricatures, including Kobe, D-Wade, Steve Nash and Kevin Garnett and an illustrated snapshot of their season-long road trip. A handful of signs guide you to various destinations including content from the actual NBA on ESPN RV tour, which stops at various games and features commentators Mike Tirico, Bill Walton, Jeff Van Gundy and others, their photo gallery and video footage from each pit stop, Walton’s tour journal and an upcoming schedule.

Most significantly featured, though, is the NBA Earth tool. Here, ESPN teamed with Google Earth to let viewers get an outer-space view and insight into various NBA-related landmarks including venues hosting upcoming ABC/ESPN-broadcasted games, player hometowns, locales that boast major b-ball factoids and various cities where NBA players made charitable contributions.
